Meet Stephanie
Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine
Dr. Stephanie Goichman, DACM, L.Ac.
Dr. Stephanie Goichman is a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine and a licensed and nationally board-certified acupuncturist and clinical herbalist. She earned her doctorate degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Health and Science in San Diego. With more than 12 years of clinical experience, Stephanie works with patients to address the root of the problem while supporting a holistic approach to health and well-being—so they can feel their best and live well. Her practice specializes in women’s health, hormonal regulation, fertility, perimenopause and menopause, sports injuries, healthy aging, autoimmune support, and stress & anxiety management. Whether working toward a specific health goal, preventing injury, supporting healthy aging, or simply taking time to slow down and reset, she creates a space where patients feel supported and empowered at every stage of life.
Stephanie also specializes in facial acupuncture, facial gua sha, and microneedling, combining holistic techniques to support skin health and enhance natural beauty from the inside out.
Over the years, Stephanie has worked in many acupuncture practices throughout Brooklyn and New York City, gaining experience across a diverse range of clinical settings—from high-end boutique practices to community-based clinics. She also worked in a hospital setting as part of a select group of acupuncturists trained to provide inpatient acupressure and acupuncture in Labor and Delivery to support women during childbirth at NYU Langone Hospital in Brooklyn, and she traveled to China for advanced certification in acupuncture and moxibustion from the International Acupuncture Training Center, a WHO collaborating facility for traditional Chinese medicine.
Stephanie opened her private practice in Union Square in 2016 and expanded in 2019 to serve the uptown Manhattan communities of Inwood and Washington Heights. In fall 2026, Stephanie continues the evolution of her practice by expanding into Westchester, extending her care to the Dobbs Ferry community through Wellness Wednesdays at its award-winning community hub and wellness destination.
Beyond her foundation in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Stephanie draws upon the Five Element acupuncture tradition to support her patients’ emotional and spiritual well-being. She further deepened her specialization in fertility and reproductive health through extensive clinical mentorship with fertility expert Victoria Koos, where she worked in Koos’ clinic and gained firsthand experience supporting patients with a wide range of fertility and reproductive health concerns. Stephanie also studied Neurofunctional Acupuncture with Dan Wunderlich, an approach that integrates modern neuroscience with acupuncture to support athletic performance, injury prevention, and recovery.
Today, her work increasingly centers on midlife health and healthy aging, helping patients of all ages embrace “well-aging” by supporting vitality and longevity goals and natural skin health while honoring the body’s changing needs through life’s transitions.
Before pursuing Chinese medicine, Stephanie worked as a journalist in nationally syndicated public radio, covering women’s health, education, emerging trends, and environmental issues. Her curiosity about medicine, science, and natural approaches to health ultimately led her to Chinese medicine—a system that brought together her longstanding interests in science, wellness, and the interconnectedness of body and mind. Outside the clinic, she has a lifelong love of music and movement, with a background in songwriting, Caribbean dance, and more than a few unexpected talents—including Double Dutch jump rope and hula hoop dancing.
Stephanie brings a calm, welcoming presence and wholehearted approach to her work, creating a space where patients feel cared for, understood, and empowered to thrive.
